At this time of year we are typically enjoying the snow by snowshoeing around our property. Although we experienced a dumping of snow back in November, we have seen very little evidence of the winter season in the past nearly two months. Is this a sign of an early spring? I guess we'll check that on Feb 2, the official Groundhog day when Punxsutawney Phil makes the prediction of whether or not we will have 6 more weeks of winter.

There is nothing so irresistible to me as a row of gorgeous red trees with a rock wall in the foreground. I find a lot of this kind of scenery in rural New Hampshire and although I have so many photos that I have taken over the years, there is always room for one more. And to me, each one is more beautiful than the next and will make an awesome painting.
