At this time of year we are typically enjoying the snow by snowshoeing around our property. Although we experienced a dumping of snow back in November, we have seen very little evidence of the winter season in the past nearly two months. Is this a sign of an early spring? I guess we'll check that on Feb 2, the official Groundhog day when Punxsutawney Phil makes the prediction of whether or not we will have 6 more weeks of winter.

If he does not see his shadow we will have an early spring and if he does and returns to his hole, we have 6 more weeks of winter. Personally, I enjoy the seasons and would like to see a little more snow before we start planting our indoor garden and getting ready for spring.
