As you can see, I've added a bit more paint to my Tiger painting. I'm working on the details around his face and defining the markings on the body. My goal is to continue with my painterly style, even on my large pieces. This is how I want my artwork to look so that I have a consistent body of work. Someone just commented on one of my pieces calling it 'impressionistic'. I like that, and I think it does accurately define what I am trying to convey in my artwork. Sure, that style has been around for many years and we had a whole movement around impressionistic paintings, but when you discover a good thing, something that really works, it never goes out of style. Just like a lot of my clothes that people comment on how nice something is, I can never resist telling them the article of clothing is 20 years old, still looking good, still in style. I buy classic clothes. This is something I learned when I was a model in Boston, a valuable lesson that I've carried with me throughout my life. Where do I go from here? Keep adding paint, keep working the details of the Tiger without getting too detailed, and finally, adding my own style to it, claiming the final painting as my art, my creation.
